"The language I use to communicate within Hogeschool Rotterdam is the language of instruction. This is the Dutch language (exceptions to this are the English learning paths that are offered and the language courses at the teacher training colleges and other courses in a foreign language)."

Besides spoken languages, you also have non-spoken languages. Like the language of art. According to this rule, we are not allowed to communicate through the language of art. This is strange because we are at an art academy. With our group, we thought about what the language of art actually is. From that, we drew this conclusion:
''As art students, we are all in the same bubble. We look at the world in more or less the same way. You feel this when you are at the academy. Consciously and unconsciously, all students communicate with each other in this way; this is the language of art."
To get a good idea of what kind of people are in this art bubble, we made a survey. This has been completed almost 200 times. From this questionnaire, we can deduce that almost everyone is politically left-wing and that most people look different than average, especially on the outside. In behavior, there were no major differences from students from other schools.
The four sentences we came up with are meant to be understood by every person that is at least a bit familiar with our school. Doesn’t matter if you speak dutch or english, both or neither, we all know how impossible it feels sometimes to get beyond the reception, how confusing the arrows on the ground are throughout the school or, if the first two are not relatable, I bet you've been told at least once that being an artist wouldn’t make you money. The posters present a general truth, without being limited to a single language.
